This link has appeared on Youtube showing the “glowing man” of Argentina in a 3D rendering done by area police near the Salta Province (click the image below to activate the link):

Is that hair on the little guy’s head, or is the red area over it’s peculiarly shaped noggin some kind of rash? I speak in jest of course, but either way I may have one of my bilingual correspondents translate the accompanying audio on this clip for us, as it may provide useful information about the nature of this weird looking rendering…

UPDATE: My friend Javier Ortega over at Ghost Theory had this to add, as well as a general translation of the video linked above:

In regards to the video you have posted, it’s the media asking a farmer to explain what he saw.

In this video, he goes into more specific details about his appearance: Big eyes with not eyebrows or eye lashes, long straight nose, big forehead, high cheekbones and thin upper lip. His clothes looked like a diver’s suit, maroon colored, long hands and long fingers with no fingernails. His hair was copper colored. That’s pretty much all he says in that video.

It’s nice to have other excellent researchers out there with so many resources! Thanks Javier!

In recent months, the province of Salta in Argentina has been the source of a host of bizarre phenomena, most notably the “gnome” said to have terrorized the area beginning in March of this year. Now, a “glowing little man” has been seen stirring up trouble in the area, as reported by Scott Corrales at the Inexplicata website:

Residents of the town of San Carlos now claim seeing a strange being, standing some 40 cm tall, with a magnetic field that kept people from approaching it.

Two people, mechanics Walter Lopez and Omar Ferlatti, informed police about the sighting of the diminutibve creature whom they described in detail: the being was small, glowing and wore pants. It appeared it be protected by a magnetic field.

The magnetic field described by those who have come into close proximity with this new “being” reminded me of another offensive tactic reported in encounters with other humanoid oddities; specifically Bigfoot-type creatures. At a conference back in 2004, I discussed the subject of pheromones with Tim Cassidy, a naturalist and cryptozoologist from Maine. Tim shared with me a bizarre encounter he had with what he believed was a Bigfoot several years ago, while leading a scout troop on a camping trip out west.

In European folklore, when one found a ring of mushrooms growing in the forest, it was believed to mark the entrance to a secret fairy realm; hence the given term for this naturally occurring ring formation, the “Fairy Ring.” Though the conditions for the formation of these rings aren’t fully understood even today, scientists presume that it is likely the result of a large, coenocytic (single-celled) fungi being present beneath the earth. Though the manifestation is understood to be one large cellular formation, it is dispersed with multiple nuclei throughout.

Fairy Rings are also often associated with the growth of necrotic circles of grass, a circular area where plant life withers or dies altogether. Especially when present in large fields, these circles have been associated with crop circle activity in the past.

SHALL WE DANCE? : A man saves his friend from mischievous little folk in the 1860 painting “Plucked from the Fairy Circle” by T.H. Thomas.

Meanwhile, a similar phenomenon has been occurring over for years in Canada, referred to as the “Forest Rings of Ontario,’ which describe the thousands of large circular formations in forested areas of the boreal landscape of northern Ontario. First photographed in the 1950s, the odd circles have been likened to crop circles in that aliens and UFOs are often called as a common culprit.

Over the years, many individuals have come forward claiming to have been used for various secret U.S. government projects envolving espionage, counter-intelligence, and even more sinister projects. A new ebook explores these cases, titled Mind-Controlled Sex Slaves and the CIA by Tracy R. Twyman. In the book, Twyman examines the whispered experiences of those who have claimed to have been used for various purposes through mind control and hypnosis, often for sinister purposes. Here is an interesting link that appeared on the Astronomy Picture of the Day website, depicting glowing red “spots” which have been showing activity on the surface of Jupiter as of late:

http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap080523.html

“Jupiter’s recent outbreak of red spots is likely related to large scale climate change as the gas giant planet is getting warmer near the equator,” the website states. Apparently, global warming isn’t specific to planet Earth!

The story of Travis Walton, perhaps the most famous alleged alien abductee of all time (as well as one of my very favorites), has been popularized in books and film for a number of years. Though I have always felt that, if indeed extraterrestrial contact is plausible, Walton’s case may be one of the most likely instances of such, is it possible that there could be strange phenomena that occurred the night of his disappearance in 1975 involving something other than UFOs and aliens? I began to wonder about this, not in an effort to debunk any of Walton’s claims, but merely to try and draw parallels between two quite different kinds of phenomena. Below is a link to my recent guest post for the new UFO Magazine blog, where I explore this and other possibilities:

http://ufomagazine.squarespace.com/guest-blog/2008/5/23/when-ball-lightning-strikes-new-perspectives-on-the-abductio.html

This article incorporates elements of research my friend Joshua P. Warren has spent over a decade compiling with regard to the behavior/formation of plasmas (like ball lightning) and how they behave in nature. Though I’ve always believed that something (quite possibly extraterrestrial) did indeed occur that changed Walton’s life in the 1970s, one must ask what new theories regarding the way electricity effects the human body might tell us about other instances involving alien contact and abduction?

JIM MARRS AND HIS NEFARIOUS HAT-GANG: From left to right: Nick Redfern, Chris McCullom, Jim Marrs, myself, and Joshua P. Warren.

I got a phone call from an excited Joshua P. Warren yesterday afternoon, who after a phone discussion with a producer friend of his from California, Jim Castle, had called to tell me about Jim Marrs’ new book, The Rise of the Fourth Reich. Below is an excerpt from a press release about the book, available on the Harper Collins website:

Throw out everything you think you know about history. Close the approved textbooks, turn off the corporate mass media, and whatever you do, don’t believe anything you hear from the government—The Rise of the Fourth Reich reveals the truth about American power. In this explosive new book, the legendary Jim Marrs, author of the underground bestseller Rule by Secrecy, reveals the frighteningly real possibility that today the United States is becoming the Fourth Reich, the continuation of an ideology thought to have been vanquished more than a half century ago. This concept may seem absurd to those who cannot see past the rose-colored spin, hype, and disinformation poured out daily by the media conglomerates—most of which are owned by the very same families and corporations who supported the Nazis before World War II. But as Marrs precisely explains, National Socialism never died, but rather its hideous philosophy is alive and active in modern America. Unfortunately, most people cannot understand the shadowy links between fascism and corporate power, the military, and our elected leaders.

For the first time Jim Marrs has gathered compelling evidence that an effort has been underway for the past sixty years to bring a form of National Socialism to modern America, creating in essence a modern empire—or “Fourth Reich”!

Something is mutilating livestock and deer in the area of Britain’s Cannock Chase Woods:

http://iccannock.icnetwork.co.uk/news/localnews/tm_headline=a-beast-ly-discovery&method=full&objectid=20949457&siteid=75673-name_page.html

Nick Redfern sent along this story the other day, along with an excerpt from the article above, noting his own ties to the bizarre happenings. “I grew up only a few miles away, and as a kid I had a lot of fun running around the spooky woods of the Chase,” he says. ”Now, as an adult, whenever I’m back in the area I get to run around the Chase woods in search of monsters! Life can be very strange at times!”

Nick has chronicled the pursuit of creatures like the Cannock Chase Beast (most likely what cryptozoologists would call an “ABC”, which stands for “Alien Big Cat”) in his books Three Men Seeking Monsters and Memoirs of a Monster Hunter. Nick is probably the very best example of a researcher who blurs the lines between the crypto “chroniclers”, those who write profusely about mysterious animals and propose new theories based on the available evidence, and the “bushwhackers” who actually get their feet wet trudging through swamps and the like in pursuit of the animals themselves. By following the link below, you can enjoy more of Nick’s latest adventures:

This was a neat post circulated on the web this morning, with more obvious ties to performance-enhancing armor suits similar to the one featured in the film Iron Man:

Now if we can just include Yvess Rossy’s strap on jet thrusters (and maybe refurbish the design with a sleek metal facemask, plamsa-blasting palm gauntlets, and a little “hot-rod red”), we’ll be even closer to being superheroes ourselves. :)

Over the last several decades, a handful of foreign nations have begun to “spill the beans” about their interest and involvement in UFOs. As early as the 1970s, the Spanish government disclosed reports from their Air Force, as well as older Russian reports released after the change of government in the mid-1990s. Later that same decade, Brazil followed suit with a handful of their own similar reports, all leading up to the French CNES release of declassified UFO documents in early 2007, which brings us to the present headlines regarding Britain’s release of UFO files by the government of the United Kingdom falling between the years of 1978 through 1987 on May 14 of this year.

As stated in a news release by The Academy for Future Science, “As more and more governments declassify their reports, albeit in a non-committed manner, the consciousness of humanity is being changed as we begin to accept that there is intelligent life beyond earth and that it won’t go away.” Perhaps this most recent acknowledgement by the British even had something to with the Catholic Church’s declaration that devout Catholics are now free to believe in extraterrestrial life.

So why is it that everyone else can say it’s okay to believe in UFOs, while here in the US the subject (though far from taboo) is still something our government chooses to avoid? Hey, at very least we’re used to this sort of treatment by now, after so many years of it. Either way, seeing our foreign neighbors disclose their own clandestine information doesn’t help fortify any confidence among the American populace that we don’t have a few skeletons in our closets over here in the US.
