Greetings all you ghouls and boils… here’s wishing a very Happy Halloween to everyone! After a long evening and early morning camped out on a ridge in the Linville Gorge last night searching for earthlight phenomenon, I’m pleased to say we’re back at headquarters, and prepping for a very special Halloween broadcast of The Gralien Report (Editor’s Note: and to our friend Robert, formerly of the Land Down Under, there were indeed a few illuminations… just no giant glowing balls of plasma this time! How do you spot something that physically can’t be seen? This sounds like it may be a trick question, but it’s not: many reports of alleged UFO craft describe objects that defy rational explanation, and one of the common descriptions among these presumed “impossibilities” includes their apparent ability to render themselves invisible.
Consider the following recent report, featured by writer and MUFON communications director Roger Marsh at his UFO Examiner site. The object in question here was witnessed on October 14, 2011 in Illinois by two area residents who had stepped outside late in the day. They described seeing a large “triangle shaped UFO” that produced a humming noise, and displayed lights “arranged in a V-shape.” Though they estimated they were only a few hundred feet away, the soon began having difficulty seeing the object:
“(The ship’s surface) appeared transparent, yet solid?” the reporting stated. “Dull black or gray, but also transparent at times.”
The object then became “invisible” and the humming noise stopped.
The witness said it was “as if it completely disappeared. UFO was only a few hundred feet away, and a few hundred feet in the air. Size of maybe a private jet or a little bigger.”
This certainly sounds like Star Trek style technology of the future–if not outright magic–as this incredible description outlines clearly (again, no pun intended here). But could there be any way to reconcile such strange reports through careful study of new emerging technologies?
Spanning every stretch of the globe, there are countless instances of strange aerial phenomena that are seen flitting around in the skies above us on a daily basis. While the majority of these are explainable, there are a few occurrences that remain baffling to such an extent that we are forced to muster terms like Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon for them; while many strange manifestations seem natural in origin, we are from time to time also treated to airborne weirdness that could just as easily constitute categorization in the “UFO” camp, often appearing to have manufactured or technological origin.
The video linked above represents just this sort of anomalous behavior… as one can see, the clouds this observer managed to film certainly aren’t behaving in any way consistent with average, everyday atmospheric phenomenon. Does this represent something truly anomalous and unexplained, or could there be any sort of logical explanation? As wild as what we’re seeing in this video seems, the answer to this atmospheric riddle may surprise you…
