I try not to focus too heavily on mainstream politics here at The Gralien Report. However, a common running theme we feature here does have to do with pulling back the unrealistic facade presented by mainstream organizations, whether that be among scientific establishments, government organizations, or as this case details, the media.

In the video clip above, Jon Stewart of The Daily Show does a pretty effective job exposing the way the mainstream news sources–and not just one or two, but a variety of them–have dismissed or outright ignored Ron Paul, the Libertarian Congressman and now three-time Presidential candidate from Texas. Despite what your own political feelings toward the matter may be, one must acknowledge unconditionally the ridiculous bias these news sources are showing… and despite my own political feelings toward the matter, I commend Jon Stewart and the staff at The Daily Show for highlighting this so effectively for us. Trust me, this is far more important than many realize… and I’m about to tell you why…

When it comes to the information we obtain each day that helps formulate our view of life, nature and reality, a big part of the equation has to do with what information is readily available. Imagine if, for example, the hidden secrets of all space and time had been discovered and inscribed on a sacred scroll 12,000 years ago, then hidden in a cave in the remotest jungles of South America for safe keeping. If that scroll weren’t discovered eventually, and the information contained therein weren’t made available to the public, it is likely that few, if any, would ever be able to harness that knowledge.

Sadly, paired right along with the fact that most people either don’t know how, lack the resources, or have no desire in the first place to go looking for wisdom of this sort, we are also faced with the disgusting reality that the mainstream media does everything they can to further the filtration process, picking and choosing what information is relevant enough for you or I to need to know about. If what we see above with Ron Paul (keeping in mind that the man, despite the “R” next to his name on the ballot, is a political moderate who advocates common sense) is the same with other items of interest… like, say, UFOs, scientific foundation for psychic abilities, various “conspiracy theories” that have emerged over the years, etc… then how much of what we know is really accurate?

Again, I hope Gralien Report readers will look at the video above, read what I’ve had to say about it here, and put the pieces together and realize the much bigger picture. Don’t allow yourself to be controlled and manipulated by these sorts of games, perpetrated… whoops! I mean, played by the likes Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, Headline News, etc, etc, ad nauseum… we’d all be better if we’d open our proverbial eyes, and let the light of truth shine in.

The choice is still ours…

  1. Such an 80’s mentality of trying to control people through corporate media is rapidly fading away, thanks to social networks and the web. Murdoch and his ilk does not control The Googlez and the Youtubez 🙂

  2. Indeed, News Corp and other giants aren’t able to control the free exchange of ideas that social networking, search engines, and video upload sites have afforded us. And one other thing is for certain… News Corp–nor anyone else, for that matter–will ever buy-out The Gralien Report, either!
