		<description>Do similar lines occur elsewhere on Google&#039;s ocean maps? If they are commonplace, then data artefacts would seem a likely explanation.

If, however, these marks are unique to this location, that would make it a bit more interesting.

I do wonder though, if the markings are real, surely they would have been noticed, and investigated, by whoever originally did the sonar scans?</description>
