Remembering Philip Coppens on “Spacing Out!”
on January 25, 2013 at 10:38 amOur friends over at Open Minds featured a nice tribute to researcher Philip Coppens on this week’s episode of “Spacing Out,” their weekly Internet program that covers UFO news and other updates related to space, science, and cosmology.
Coppens had risen to international fame as an author and lecturer, in addition to becoming a rising television star following his frequent appearances on the History Channel’s Ancient Aliens, a show which paired him alongside ancient astronaut theorists the likes of Giorgio Tsoukalos and Erich von Daniken. He passed away due to complications from the onset of cancer in on December 30, 2012 (you can read a eulogy I wrote for Coppens by clicking here).
In the absence of co-host Maureen Elsberry, Jason McClellan asked me to join him on the program in remembering Coppens and his contributions to the field, in addition to new evidence that suggests the possible existence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As always, it was a fun time, and the video of the program can be viewed in the window linked above (and for all you conspiracy theorists out there, be sure and take a look at my reptilian eyes gleaming through for an instant right at the 6:22 mark… yes, I’m a regular blue-blooded mouthpiece for the illuminati here).
Spacing Out is developed, produced, and hosted by Jason McClellan & Maureen Elsberry, with editorial contributions by Michael Cline and Tom Ruffin. And the snazzy theme music you’re hearing on the program is the fine work of none other than our very own Caleb Hanks, who is not only an engineer and producer with The Gralien Report, but also a professional musician and sound engineer who handles in-house music and other audio condiments featured on the weekly Gralien Report Podcast. Below we’ve included some additional info on Open Minds and the crew:
