UFO Propulsion: Are Physicists Closing in, or Closing Doors?
A wise man once said, “Necessity is the mother of invention.” In fact, many a wise-guy has made this claim in his lifetime, but I like to take this statement from time to time and re-shape it into the following: Supposition is the Mother of Invention.
What I mean by this (and going ahead and diving into the meat of this subject, I’m going to tie it in with UFOs early on) is that many scientists over the last several decades, based on what they observe in science fiction, have created advanced scientific instrumentation which not only mirrored fiction, but helped make it into fact. For instance, in the fiction of authors like Arthur C. Clark, technologically advanced apparatus like radio communications satellites, video conferencing, and “smart” machines were all incorporated prior to their design and practical use in the modern world. Along these same lines, a handful of physicists have been also looking at reports of UFOs and trying to figure out how they operate, based on witness testimony.
I received an email from Gralien Report correspondent Marvin Bishop today that mentioned Harold E. Puthoff, an American physicist known for his “alternative” approaches to gravitational physics, general relativity, and quantum mechanics which often involve things commonly referred to as paranormal.
Among the items described in the email were Puthoff’s notion of how ”The Blue Tractor Beam” described in many UFO abduction scenarios may work. Puthoff believes that the levitation effects many abductees describe are actually the result of manipulation of vacuum pressure. By lowering the vacuum pressure inside of a condensed ”beam”, pressure outside the beam then behaves like a sort of ”vice grip” capable of lifting an object or potential abductee. Puthoff also describes how time-slip type phenomenon and phase-shifting through solid objects might occur. He proposes that Aliens might implement an advacned ”space-time shift” in order to pass through walls and windows. By utilizing knowledge of different dimensional planes, aliens might place themselves in one ”Space-time” and the object they wish to pass through in another, allowing them to “pass through” the object almost as though they were ”dodging into” another dimension. ”Examples of this are when abductees report seeing Aliens coming out of a ball of light. The ‘ball of light’ is their Space-time bubble,” the email described. According to Puthoff’s theories, the “bubble” to which abductees refer might actually describe the technological means by which aliens might achieve such a dimensional shift.
Outside his controversial scientific interests, Puthoff has also struck a chord with conspiracy theorists over the years for his work in alleged CIA-funded remote-viewing projects, as well as his membership in the Church of Scientology since the late 1960s. But regardless of his beliefs or involvment in government projects of this sort, what do the scientific notions proposed by physicists like Puthoff do for the scientific understanding of UFOs and life from other worlds? Could one day realizing “science fiction” of this sort as being science-fact actually lend credence to the notion that UFOs might also be more likely to exist as well?
