Bigfoot and the Shroud of Turin
Yesterday my friend Evan Bradford and I were having coffee when the latest ruse in Georgia made its way into the conversation. I suggested that, to a potential collector, as nasty as a rubber suit stuffed full of animal parts is, this Bigfoot hoax could be compared to the Shroud of Turin, the alleged burial cloth of Jesus Christ. Now granted, this is a very obscure reference that I won’t go into great detail about right at the moment, and I’ll also say that the ways in which these two “relics” might be compared are few at very least (okay, a VERY few at VERY least). This, of course, is also based on the assumption that a collector of Bigfoot-related oddities and other curiosities might show similar interest to what a wealthy, devoted collector of Catholic relics might show in the shroud.
