Like many folks, I am fascinated with the anticipation building as time continues to fall away between now and the arrival of the year 2012.

This will be a significant year for a number of reasons. For instance, Barack Obama will likely run for his second term in office as President of the United States. On that note, among those who have also stated publicly their intentions to run in 2012 is George Noory, host of the late night radio program Coast to Coast AM. Wouldn’t it be fascinating to see Obama and Noory debating live on television prior to election time, especially during what many already believe will be a year of change, “emerging consciousness”, and possibly even the end of the world as we know it?

Among those also interested in the theories surrounding the year 2012 and the end of the Mayan Calendar is my good friend Joshua P. Warren. Each year, Joshua hosts a paranormal cruise which takes folks like you and I to fascinating places which, in the past have, included the Bermuda Triangle and the Carribean. This year, I am particularly excited that Joshua has decided to orient the theme of his cruise around the enigmatic Mayan ruins of Central America and their relevance to the year 2012.

Here’s a quick blurb Joshua posted at his website about this:

What is the truth about 2012? The Maya were obsessed with time. Thousands of years ago, they knew that at 11:11 UT (Universal Time) on December 21, 2012, our solar system would align with the center of our galaxy for the first time in almost 26,000 years, and the earth will perform a strange wobble. Their precise understanding of natural cycles have led to accurate predictions throughout history. Now, at long last, we are the humans who will live to see their epic calendar come to an end–specifically foretold as a cycle terminating in mass destruction. Are we truly doomed, or blessed to see a new age of enlightenment dawn?

The cruise, which he calls Expedition 2012, will set sail on the “Carnival Legend” from Tampa, Florida on Sunday, May 3, 2009, and will visit the following locations along the way:

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands: some of the world’s clearest, most beautiful water for snorkeling and scuba diving

Cozumel, Mexico: where exploration of the ancient Mayan ruins at Tulum will take place

Belize: home to more Mayan ruins into which Warren will lead explorations

Roatan Island, Honduras: this breathtaking island is near the second largest barrier reef in the world. It was also plagued by pirates!

In May of this year, I also plan to attend this fascinating outing (hey, who wouldn’t like to see all these historic sites before 2012 arrives… who knows, by then it may be too late)! If you would like to join along on this fascinating expedition also, Helen Preston, a wonderful gal who has taken up the cause as Warren’s cruise coordinator, may be reached as follows:

Office: 828-338-0165
Cell: 828-275-7287
Email: GOTTRAVELPRO@aol.com

Helen always likes to know how people found out about projects she coordinates, so be sure and tell her you learned about EXPEDITION 2012 at The Gralien Report!

Finally, all the details about Joshua Warren’s Expedition 2012 can be found at his website, which can be viewed by clicking the link below:

Expedition 2012: Hosted by Joshua P. Warren

Deadline for sign ups is February 12, so be sure and contact Helen Preston today! This should be a fascinating outing, and I’m delighted to tell Gralien Report readers about fun things like this in which they too can participate. With the “emerging global consciousness” described by many today, it will also provide an opportunity to ride the cusp of humanity’s understanding of such phenomenon that you won’t want to miss.
