Hank, when I talked to you the other day, you said that you were working on reading/reviewing these books. It is interesting to me that of all the weeks that you read these was the week of Jules Verne’s birthday. One of my favorite books I read when growing up was Journey to the Center of the Earth, which is Verne’s interpretation of the Hollow Earth theory. The idea that there is an estensive cave system that leads in and out of a world within a world is fascinating, although scientifically improbable. Regardless, is sure does make a great piece of fiction that, like Verne’s works, are entertaining and scholarly. Kudos to Mott.
