A woman from Round Lake Beach, Illinois, recently attacked her husband, striking his head with a hammer, because “she thought he was an alien trying to kill her.”

“She thought he was an alien,” police said Friday

The woman, presenly being held in the Lake County Jail, will be undergoing psychological evaluation, after authorities found evidence of prescription medications for mental illness in her home.

Officials told the Lake County News-Sun“It was a bizarre case, however, it is an unfortunate one because this did not have to happen.”
