Great episode, folks! I really enjoyed the show with Rosemary Ellen Guiley. Regarding the discussion of Djinn and negative effects on human behavior, I recall seeing an interview with, I think he was an autopsy tech in California, maybe LA. He mentioned how murders associated with meth or cocaine were often over-kills. That is, the killer seemed to have attacked the victim in a berserk frenzy. He seemed to think that the drugs enabled a sort of demonic possession in the murderers. I thought that was an interesting idea, and sort of parallel to the Djinn idea.
It is also makes me wonder if the unconscious is involved in these sort of things. That is, do the drugs remove a barrier that normally contains a more savage element within ourselves, or at least within some people? If we can extend this thought into discussions of Djinn or shadow people, can any of these be seen as extensions or manifestations of something within our unconscious mind? By this I don’t simply mean hallucinations or dreams, but an actual element of ourselves gained independence or stepping out from its shelter within us?
Thanks for doing the show!
Konrad
